"I already griped about that. Though, even evergreens settle down a little bit in the winter, so maybe it's not that surprising. Usually I resort to layers and space heaters, though." He scratched at the back of his neck. "And hot drinks. I live on caffeine and just hot water all winter."

"Good way to stay hydrated, though. Not coffee so much, but tea might help some. I've always preferred coffee, myself."

"I try a few things at the Magic Bean." He grinned. "Sometimes it's more entertaining than others. But it's definitely heavily flavored. Almond or soy. Lactose intolerant huh? That sucks. I love cheese and milk."

Jason nodded, pulling a face. "It does. I've always wanted to try real cheesecake."

He tilted his head at the name. "Does the Magic Bean have lactose free things? I've never been there."

"That's a pity. And while cheesecake is amazing, I don't think it's worth the discomfort that would result. Nothing's really that amazing." Zaïren shrugged. "It's just a sweet, and there are plenty of sweet baked goods that are not primarily made of milk."
