Room 619: Tebryn and Kazari's Room

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn raked his hands through his hair and stepped back to double-check his handiwork. It had taken him an hour to install runners in the ceiling and another forty-five minutes to wrestle with the curtain and get it to hang straight. He wasn't entirely certain if he was allowed to modify the room, but if they weren't going to fix his rooming situation anytime soon, Tebryn was taking matters into his own hands.

He gave the curtain a tug. It stayed on its sliders and moved smoothly along those runners.

Tebryn smiled.

[Kazari Baratoge]

Kazari blinked when she opened the door. Tebryn was gazing up at a huge floor-to-ceiling divider that was certainly not there when she'd left for classes that morning.

And he was smiling.

"Murder anyone today, Te?" She smirked and slid her shoes off, sliding them against the wall with her foot.

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn hooked his thumbs into his pockets and regarded her by tilting his head towards her voice. "Nah. I did manage to get quite a bit of plotting done, though. Blaise has no idea what he's in for."

He nodded towards the curtain and shrugged one shoulder. "I figured this would make things a little... easier."

He glanced in her direction and felt his neck and ears warm up. "Your side is pink."

[Kazari Baratoge]

"Aw, Tebryn." Kazari's smirk widened to cheshire proportions and she nudged the younger lad gently with her elbow as she passed by him to check out the curtain. "You're a prince, you are."

She checked and saw that the other side of the dove-grey curtain was, in fact, a pretty blush color. "Of course it is." She giggled and did her signature happy hip swivel.

"So was this a spontaneous idea, or did my brother threaten you?"

As he felt heat rising into his cheeks, Tebryn decided that his bookshelf desperately needed to be reorganized. He faced away from his roommate, hoping to whatever forces were available that she couldn't tell how flustered he was.

"Curtain was my idea," he mumbled as he started moving books around. The other Baratoge hadn't threatened him outright, but Tebryn suspected that was because Kazari would have no trouble whatsoever ripping his head from his shoulders if the need arose.

But damn if that little tail wiggle thing wasn't cute. Tebryn made a mental note to put in yet another request for a room transfer before classes tomorrow.

Kazari got through a single class before the weight of an oncoming sleep spell hit her. She managed to stumble most of the way to her dorm room, and actually had her hand on the doorknob before her knees folded beneath her and she slid down the wall. She was out like a light before she hit the floor.

Tebryn shuffled down the corridor after classes and didn't realize the lump of roommate curled by the door until he was actually reaching out to enter the room.

Tebryn blinked, and sank to one knee as he tapped Kazari's shoulder.

"Ah... noona?"

He shook her gently. "Noona."

Kazari's head lolled on her shoulders and she produced a low-pitched purring noise as she hunkered into a tighter ball. Her eyelids fluttered and she grumbled something about five more minutes.

Tebryn's eyebrow twitched into an arch. Oh, for the love of--

"Yah." He patted her cheek. "Kazari." He grabbed both of her elbows and tried pulling her upright. "Come on, you can't sleep on the floor all day."

With another heave, he managed to pull her to her feet.

[Kazari Baratoge]

Kazari wobbled and draped her arms around the neck of the nearest warm object-- Tebryn.

She nuzzled at Tall Warm Thing and snuffled.

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn squeaked. He immediately felt heat rising in his neck and ears and

--dammit she smells like flowers--

tried desperately to pry her arms off. He managed to do so, kinda, which made Kazari start sliding down his front. Tebryn panicked and caught her beneath the armpits, hauling her back upright as best he could.

"Noonaaaa," he growled, dragging her into the room. "I swear to god..."

[Kazari Baratoge]

Kazari was vaguely aware of movement, and someone making disgruntled noises at her. Her eyelids fluttered and she tried to cuddle against Tall Warm Thing, glomming onto what/whoever it was with all four limbs.

Beargrumble.

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn managed to amble most of the way to Kazari's side of the room before Kazari apparently decided he was a fucking tree and amoeba-ed onto him. Tebryn tumbled, and as a reflex managed to spin as he fell so that it was his back, and not Kazari's, that slammed into the floor.

Oof.

Tebryn tried to roll Kazari off of him. Kazari did not move. In fact, she purred and nuzzled at the base of his neck.

Tebryn squeaked and kicked his feet, hoping to jolt her awake. No go.

He decided then and there to concentrate very hard on not responding to the pile of curvy girl on top of him.

And his cellphone was in his backpack fuck.

[Sarah Sternberg]

Sarah frowned at the sound of awkward movement inside one of the dorms as she headed toward her own. She halted and poked her head into an open door, and her eyebrows slowly lifted at the sight of the two on the bed. Especially the one underneath, who seemed to be having trouble getting out of there.

"Uh. Are you okay?" She stepped into the room. "Need help?"

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn squeaked. "I tried to help her into the room and everything went wrong." He peered over the top of Kazari's head, cheeks and ears damn near glowing pink.

"I would... greatly appreciate assistance."

[Sarah Sternberg]

Sarah nodded and moved forward to see what she could do. The sleeper seemed to be out like a light. Frowning, Sarah tried to get her hands under them to help lift them up. "Does this happen often?"

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn tried to get his hands to Kazari's waist so that he could attempt to shift her weight as the girl helped him lift.

"She's narcoleptic," he grunted. He managed to twist out from underneath his roommate and crouched by Kazari's side, because her arms were still latched around his middle. He looked up at the newcomer and offered her the shadow of a smile as he worked on untangling Kazari's hands from the fabric of his shirt.

"I found her in the hallway-- she must've tried to leave class and passed out before she got into the room."

Blink. "Thank you," he added, over the sound of Kazari sleep-purring.

[Sarah Sternberg]

"That explains a lot." Sarah chuckled as she continued to help ease the sleeper's weight off of her unwitting victim. "And you're welcome. What's with the purring? Is she some kind of werecat?"

[Il Tebryn]

"The purring is... I mean, it's cute." His blush deepened again. "But it's just a noise she makes. It's louder if she sleeps on her back."

"She's a were-bear. You should hear her brother. He snores."

[Sarah Sternberg]

Sarah grinned. "I can imagine. I don't think I've met her brother yet. What's he like?"

[Il Tebryn]

Tebryn rubbed the back of his neck. "He's... much less stressful. For me, at least." He huffed through his nose and looked Kazari over. He was quiet for a moment, then looked up at his savior.

"Their names are Kazari and Kazuo. They're pretty mellow, and friendly. I just have issues where this one is concerned. For reasons." He poked Kazari's forehead.

"I'm Tebryn."

Sarah grinned. "Nice to meet you, Tebryn. I'm Sarah." She looked at Kazari, then back at Tebryn. "Is Kazuo a werebear too?"

[Il Tebryn]

"Sarah." Tebryn nodded as he committed the name to memory. "A pleasure."

"He is. Erm... Have you seen the grizzly bear waddling around? That's her brother. Most people call him Kuma-kun."

After he finally managed to get Kazari's hands free, he stood and pulled the comforter off her bed. He draped this over her and sighed.

[Sarah Sternberg]

"Oh! Yeah, I've seen him. We've never really spoken though. Then again, I guess he'd speak in growls as a bear anyway." She laughed.

"So how long have you been here?"

[Il Tebryn]

"He turns human once a month." Tebryn found himself smirking. "He doesn't seem to much enjoy it."

"I've been here for two years now." He offered her the desk chair before sitting on the edge of his bed. "I'm one of Vero's. And yourself?"
